9:30am - 12:30pm or 12:30pm - 3:30pm
For this year's United Way's annual day to give back, we will provide spring gardening for The Society for the Protection & Care of Children. They are located at 451 East Henrietta Road, Rochester 14620.
SPCC’s mission is to provide the best opportunities for a bright future by respectfully partnering with children and their families, advocating for their health, well-being, and safety, and working to heal and strengthen relationships. SPCC strives to provide a healthy work culture that supports high-quality and compassionate services for children and families in our community.
- Activities include:
- Spring weeding/planting flowers (some tools/trowels and gloves/kneepads available, but if volunteers have their own that would be great)
- If outdoor work isn't doable due to weather, we will stay busy by:
-Pulling old files for shredding
-Deep cleaning toys/spring cleaning and throwing out old/broken toys
-Sorting closets/supplies
This is a great opportunity to connect with Chapter members! We don't always have the luxury of time before or after our monthly educational programs.
Breakfast treats and lunch will be provided!
